Roberto is the founding Partner and Chairman of the Firm.
Roberto's distinguished career includes service as counsel to the Embassies of Mexico and Guatemala. He was also legal advisor to the private sector in the negotiations for CAFTA and the Free Trade Agreement with Mexico on Intelectual Property issues. From 1998 to 2002, Roberto was Honorary Consul of Peru in El Salvador.
For over ten years he was Professor at Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado. He has also been a consultant in drafting contracts between foreign companies and the State, emphasizing Arbitration Agreements, Dispute Settlement. Roberto has intervened in Commercial summary trials of Arbitration, and also served as Business Counsel, negotiating claims arising from the interpretation and enforcement of arbitration clauses.
He has taken courses on Arbitration in Costa Rica and Colombia offered by the CIAC and was appointed by ASIPI as candidate for arbitrator on Intellectual Property issues before the Chamber of Commerce of Colombia.
In the field of international treaties, our Chairman was appointed by the Salvadoran Industrial Association (ASI) to advice on Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution issues to the negotiators of the Free Trade Agreement between Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Mexico. In addition he has been a negotiator advisor to the Organization of Productive Sector Support of International Trade Negotiations (ODASP) on Intellectual Property and Dispute Settlement in the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement between the U.S. and the Central American countries (CAFTA).
