Kriton Metaxopoulos

Mr. Kriton Metaxopoulos is a graduate of Athens University law School as well as an LL.M graduate of the London School of Economics. He has been practicing law since 1986 and he is the Managing Partner of “A. & K. Metaxopoulos & Partners .Law Firm”.

He served for nine years as a BoD member of the Trans European Law Firms Alliance (TELFA) and also the Greek representative of the Global Advertising Law Firms Alliance (GALA).

Kriton is an expert in IP Law and Antipiracy issues, has represented for years MPA as well as the Greek Anti Piracy Association in the field of audiovisual works (EPOE) and also Warner Music, Odeon Group and many others. An expert in international white collar crime and corporate fraud involving coordination and legal strategy in a 50 million USD litigation case, in Italy, Lebanon, Romania, UK, France and former Soviet Union. His experience includes representation before Civil and Penal Courts (along with the cooperation of local lawyers), in France, Italy, Uk and Romania in cooperation with local practitioners.

Connected his name with the huge dairy cartel case and the “neighbouring to it” corruption of the GS of the Greek Competition Committee in 2006, which resulted in huge fines imposed to several Greek dairy companies and at a penal level to the conviction by the penal Courts of those accused for corruption, consisting in claiming financial benefits from the companies involved in the dairy/milk cartel in order to secure their acquittal / exemption from the charges before the Competition Committee.
