Dr. Alejandro Barrientos is partner of the Intellectual Property, Privacy, New Technologies and Legal Advertising Department with a practice that spans Life Science and Telecom, Media & Technology.

A recognized professional in his area of practice, he has vast experience in advising national and international clients in intellectual property matters, particularly in patents, trademarks, copyright, confidentiality agreements and biotechnology. His expertise also includes litigation, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing advertising, marketing, and promotional agreements.

He practiced law at one of the most prestigious law firms in Argentina and, abroad, at Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox, Washington D.C. Prior to joining the firm, he served as International Patent and Regulatory Law Coordinator at Cavelier Abogados in Colombia.

In addition, Mr. Barrientos holds a double degree in law and science. On the one hand, he is a graduate of Universidad Austral, where he also obtained a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Rights and later completed his studies in 2013 with an L.L.M. – Master in Laws – at the University of Pennsylvania, United States. On the other hand, he holds a degree as Chemistry and Biotechnology Superior Technician from the ORT Institute of Buenos Aires.
