George Z. Georgiou is the Managing Partner of George Z. Georgiou & Associates LLC, a full-service civil law firm based in Nicosia, Cyprus. He is also an Associate Tenant of Littleton Chambers, London, UK. George has extensive experience in all areas of Cypriot Law with particular expertise in advertising law, banking, employment, pensions, litigation, arbitration, international commercial matters, corporate immigration laws and land law.
He regularly speaks on Cypriot law and procedure abroad and has written for many publications, including chapters for international books, magazines and online journals. As an individual, George Z. Georgiou is top ranked in the main legal directories Chambers, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal.
George studied Law at Bristol University, England and was called to the Bar of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. After completing his Cypriot legal training, he was called to the Cyprus Bar and subsequently became a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the Russian Arbitration Centre. He is also a qualified mediator. Moreover, he is the Board Member for Cyprus at the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) and the Cypriot Board Member at Ius Laboris.
