Carlos Alberto focuses his practice on intellectual property, advertising, and commercial law for industries such as banking, food and beverage, advertising agencies, among others. His experience in advertising law provided him with the opportunity to advise the National Association of Advertising Agencies and several companies from different industry sectors about advertising campaigns, commercials, promotions and contests. He has advised local and multinational companies in relevant advertising law issues. His services include, among others: advice on the advertising of regulated products, advertising challenges, claim substantiation review, clearance and compliance with local regulations, comparative advertising review, consumer promotions, contests and sweepstakes, consumer protection law, responses to government inquires and requirements, product labeling and packaging, and related data privacy issues. Ecuadorian member of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance GALA since 2009. In 2010 and 2013, was recognized by Global Law Experts as the leading advertising law expert in Ecuador; in 2011, 2012 and 2014 recognized as the leading expert for Advertising advice in Ecuador by Corporate INTL.
