Marcela is a Partner in Ideas Trademarks & Patents El Salvador. She started her practice in Intellectual Property Law 20 years ago and has ample experience in the area, she has advised national and foreign clients for more than 20 years on topics related to trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs, utility models and, in general, everything related to intellectual property issues, and has managed large portfolios. She has academic training in the subject of Intellectual Property through various seminars and courses. She has been advising on opposition and appeal incidents aimed at preventing infringements of the intellectual rights of clients, as well as enforcing IP rights in El Salvador. At the same time, she has advised national and foreign clients in matters of sanitary registrations in El Salvador and in the other Central American countries and is an active member of several Intellectual Property Associations, as well as an active member of the British Chamber of Commerce in El Salvador.
