Marcela is a Partner in IGNITE Business Law in El Salvador. She started her practice in Intellectual Property Law 26 years ago and has ample experience in the area, she has advised national and foreign clients for more than 26 years on topics related to trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs, utility models and, in general, everything related to intellectual property issues, infringements, anti-counterfeiting and has managed large portfolios. She has academic training in the subject of Intellectual Property as well as Corporate Law through various seminars and courses. She has been advising on opposition and appeal incidents aimed at preventing infringements of the intellectual rights of clients, as well as enforcing IP rights in El Salvador. At the same time, she has advised national and foreign clients in legal advertising matters, corporate matters, as well as matters of sanitary/ health registrations in El Salvador and in the other Central American countries and is an active member of several Intellectual Property Associations.
