Diego has received extensive academic training in Intellectual Property through a range of specialized seminars and courses, both nationally and internationally. He is a certified privacy professional by the Latin American Privacy Association. Within the firm, he has progressively developed solid expertise in handling a broad array of matters related to data privacy, advertising, Artificial Intelligence and domain name disputes for clients across Latin America and Europe, both at the administrative and legal levels.

He is fluent in English. His current practice focuses on Competition Law, where he advises clients on navigating and complying with Guatemala’s new Competition Law, which entered into force in January 2025. Diego is an active member of the Competition Law Committee of AMCHAM and has represented the Firm before various industry associations, including GALA, INTA, and ASIPI.
