Elisa has an extensive experience in regulatory and compliance matters with a particular focus on all legal matters regarding pharmaceuticals and medical devices and other areas of Life Sciences-Healthcare.
Her experience includes clinical trials, placing on the market, promotion and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She has also accrued a significant experience in digitalization projects, including Patient Support Programs (PSP) and e-commerce/home delivery projects undertaken by chain of pharmacies as well as with respect to the development of software as medical devices and the use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
After being awarded a cum laude Law Degree by the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan in 2004, she earned a post-graduate diploma at the Academy of European Law, European University Institute in Fiesole, in 2006, and completed her Ph.D. in Constitutional Law at the Università degli Studi di Milano in 2008. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research at the King’s College in London. From 2006 to 2010, she was Contract Professor in Public and Constitutional Law at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi.
Elisa is ranked by Chambers Europe 2024 for Life Sciences, by The Legal 500 EMEA 2024 as “Next Generation Partner” for Life Sciences and Healthcare, and by Who’s Who Legal in the Life Sciences 2024 (Regulatory) and the Italy 2023 (Life Sciences) guides. She has been recognized also as a Client Choice International Awards 2023 winner in the Healthcare area.
She is the author of several publications in the field of biotechnology and scientific research. She is also author of numerous articles in magazines, including foreign ones, specialized in the Life Sciences sector. She participates in the capacity of speaker in numerous conferences and seminars in the field of Life Sciences. She is vice-president of the AIJA’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee and officer of the Life Sciences Commission of the International Bar Association.
