Linda Bīriņa is Senior Associate and Head of Data Protection, IT and Media at COBALT Latvia. She specializes in the fields of advertising law, data protection and copyrights. Linda also provides legal assistance to local and foreign customers regarding media and privacy law and consumer rights. In the course of advising top creative agencies and a leading professional organization - Latvian Advertising Association – as well as providing legal assistance to top pharmaceutical, FMCG and media companies with regards to marketing matters, Linda has accumulated significant experience and recognition in the field of advertising and consumer protection. 

She is also a member of the Latvian Advertising Association’s Ethics Council. Linda holds trainings and delivers speeches at conferences related to journalistic and mass media rights, especially protection of journalists’ information sources. She has also participated in international research by preparing reviews on advertising regulation in Latvia, e.g., International Advertising Law. Third Edition. Linda has also represented Latvia in global summits on European data protection – Annual European Data Protection Intensive.

In the recent Legal 500 edition Linda has been ranked as IP, IT and Telecoms Rising Star.
