Nicole Foga is co-founder and Managing Partner of the law firm FOGA DALEY and heads the firm’s Communications, Media & Technology Department. Her practice areas include telecommunications, software licensing, regulatory compliance, intellectual property portfolio management and commercial law.

Admitted to the Jamaican Bar in 1993, Nicole is an ODASS Scholar and holds a Master's Degree in Commercial Law, focusing on International Commercial Transactions and Intellectual Property, from Aberdeen University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies (UWI).

Nicole chairs the Technology, Broadcasting and Telecommunications Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association and is a member of Jamaica’s Copyright Tribunal. She is also a member of the Inter-American Bar Association and an associate member of the American Bar Association and the International Trademark Association and is a member of the INTA Internet Sub Committee and the team leader for the Subgroup dealing with emerging trademark issues related to alternate realities, RFID, GPS and location based software. Nicole is also a Director/Secretary of the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica (EFJ) and a Trustee for the EFJ and the Interim Chairman of the University of Technology Pension Fund. 

Her previous appointments include General Counsel in the Office of Utilities Regulation, Legal Advisor to the Broadcasting Commission, Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Department, member of the International Committee of the Council on Foundations and Chairman of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Caribbean Regional Committee on Electronic Commerce and Intellectual Property. 

Nciole provides ongoing advice to one of the largest Advertising Agencies in Jamaica on comparative advertising issues, copyright and trademark laws and on regulatory compliance with advertising laws and labelling requirements in Jamaica.

Nicole Foga has been a featured speaker on electronic transactions and intellectual property issues and has authored the book Cyber Law in Jamaica published by Kluwer Law in 2013 and co-authored several articles on intellectual property published internationally.
