Jorge Allende is a licensed attorney before the Lima Bar Association, an expert in Intellectual and Industrial Property; Competition, Antitrust, Advertising and Consumer Protection and Data Privacy, with over 15 years of experience both at a national and international level. He is one of the managing partners at the Law Firm of Allende & Garcia.

Jorge studied law at the University of Lima and earned an LL.M. degree from Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Jorge is member of the Inter American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI), the Peruvian Association of Intellectual Property (APPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA), European Community Trademark Association – ECTA and the Lima Bar Association. As member of those Associations, he was alternate delegate for Peru in ASIPI period 2009 – 2012; President of the Administrations Law Firm Committee of ASIPI 2009 – 2012; member of the Executive Board of APPI period 2011-2013; member of the Anti-counterfeiting Committee of INTA, period 2012 – 2013; Actually, he is Secretary of the Copyrights Committee of ASIPI 2012-2015; Secretary of the Board of Directors of APPI and member of the Law Firm Committee of INTA 2014-2015. Also, he is Arbitrator in Intellectual Property for the Lima Bar Association and member of the Trademarks and Patents Committee for the Lima Bar Association and is the President of the Peruvian Association of Intellectual Property – APPI for the period 2017-2019.

He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) teaching Communication Law and Advertising Law; as well as an Adjunct Professor in the Master in Corporate Law in the Business School San Francisco Xavier de Arequipa teaching Industrial Property.
