Allende Garcia was founded in April 2011 as an Intellectual Property and Competition Law Boutique by Jorge Allende and Magali Garcia. After 7 years in the market we have gained a strong position and reputation in the Peruvian market and Allende & Garcia Abogados, has been ranked by several magazines such as Managing Intellectual Property; Chambers & Partners; The Legal 500, The Leaders League, The World Trademark Review and The Best Lawyers, where our partner Jorge Allende was included as a the leading individual on Advertising Law in Peru. Also, in 2014, the Firm received the title of “Firm to Watch in Latin America” by Managing Intellectual Property.

Our Firm is currently handling several trademark portfolios in all industries, copyright and patent proceedings that include prosecution, litigation and infringement actions. We also, handle competition proceedings (Unfair Competition and Advertising, Antitrust, Consumer Protection) and advise several advertising agencies and direct clients on their advertising work in order for them to comply with Peruvian Advertising Law; as well entertainment and promotion law.

We also render services to clients, in order to be alert regarding competitors advertising and to advise them whether it is possible to file an unfair competition action. Accordingly, we represent clients in filing and answering unfair competition actions made in advertisements. Our Advertising Law is under the Unfair Competition Law.

Our partners Jorge Allende, Magali Gracia and Dafne Ramos are Adjunct Professors of Advertising Law and Communication Law in the Major of Communications and Advertising at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).
